The Society for Technical Communication (STC), Atlanta Chapter is pleased to announce the Currents 2008 conference on March 14-15, 2008 at Southern Polytechnic State University, Marietta, Georgia campus.

Currents provides a great opportunity for technical communicators to expand their professional skills and to network with peers. The conference is open to any technical communication professional regardless of skill level or position. We also invite other professionals who are interested in the technical  communication field. This two-day conference includes:

• A Friday workshop by Jean-luc Doumont, who will present his popular “Visual Structure” lecture  
• Information-packed Saturday sessions, featuring keynote speaker Mark Clifford, First Vice President of the STC, and Jean-luc Doumont’s “Road Signs” presentation.

Technical Bookstore

BreakPoint Books, the bookstore used at the STC International conferences, will be on site at the conference Saturday, March 15. There will be technical communication-related books covering a wide range of topics, including those relating to many of the conference presentations.

Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and 8:30 on Saturday with a continental breakfast.
