Rinnai America Corporation is seeking an experienced, dedicated Technical Writer to develop, organize, write and edit procedures and manuals related to gas-fired and accessory products in the Rinnai portfolio.

Essential Functions:

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers, Project Engineers, and Engineering Lab Technicians to develop Installation and
    Operation Manuals for gas-fired products
  • Develop Technical Bulletins, Troubleshooting Guides and Replacement Part Instructions for products
  • Create, manage and communicate Engineering Change Notices
  • Create and maintain part numbers and BOMs for manufacturing
  • Develop safety labels and nomenclature required for attachment to products
  • Maintain internal Technical Document Management program
  • Assistance with the development of product training materials
  • Work with marketing to ensure marketing materials are technically accurate and in compliance with applicable standards

  • Awareness of and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in related field
  • Minimum 5  years’ experience in technical writing role
  • Knowledge of technical writing for gas fired consumer products or related field

Skills:

  • Experience with content management systems and version control
  • Well-developed technical writing skills for 6th grade reading level
  • Ability to use graphics software for illustrations in technical documents
  • Experience using Adobe In-Design, Adobe Illustrator and MS Publisher
  • Ability to use CAD for graphical illustrations
  • Understanding of the ANSI Z535 standard
